Reconomy partner with Telent in Mind donation

Over recent weeks, Telent has been running company-wide roadshows to their three main site locations, briefing all members with company news and overall performance.

As part of the roadshows, Reconomy, in partnership with Telent, ran a competition that provided those in attendance with the chance of being named in a donation to nominated mental health charity partner, Mind.

Following the conclusion of the roadshows, the prize of being named in the £50 donation each to mental health charity, Mind, has now been announced to the two lucky winners – Gareth Critchley and Rifat Hudaverdi.

The competition formed part of a drive to help raise awareness and engagement on the business’s sustainability goals. Reconomy showcased the support and services provided to Telent, along with Reconomy’s innovative new Zero Waste Index tool. With Telent being a prominent figure in the management of the UK’s critical national infrastructure, it is imperative that sustainability is high up on the agenda.

National Contracts Manager at Reconomy, Vicky Robertson said: “We are delighted to partner with Telent not only for this donation, but also on their overall sustainability journey.  Company-wide events such as these are a great opportunity to educate all members of Telent on the importance of sustainability, winning their hearts and minds and gaining buy-in on business targets. Using our Zero Waste Index, a tool for measuring progress towards limiting global warming to 1.5C, Reconomy and Telent will continue working together to push waste further up the hierarchy”

Patrick Flanagan, Head of Estates and FM at Telent said: “We’re excited to be the team that drives and supports the delivery of our sustainability strategy. In terms of waste, we will only succeed through the active engagement with our colleagues and changing how we think about waste.

“Reconomy’s innovative Zero Waste Index allows us to be more data driven in our decision making and gives us a new set of tools to improve our performance in this area.  Finally, congratulations to the winners of the prize draw and thank you for your engagement on the day!”

Telent and Reconomy recognise the importance of both promoting good mental health and having the required support network in place to help those that need it and encouraging open discussion on mental health issues.

Winners have now been selected from two locations, Chorley and Pirin Court, and will be named alongside the companies in a £50 donation to the charity, Mind.
