Nationwide outsourced waste management experts, Reconomy, has been announced as a finalist at the 2020 CN (Construction News) Awards.
Now in its 24th year, the CN Awards annually celebrate the very best companies, projects and achievements from within the construction industry. With over a thousand in attendance every year, the awards have 21 trophies up for grabs for the very best in the industry.
Reconomy has been named as a finalist alongside Balfour Beatty Living Places, Ward Recycling and HMP Foston Hall in the Supply Chain Excellence category. The category recognises outstanding efforts by a supply chain, where all partners involved have worked cohesively to achieve a common goal.
The partnership’s entry focused on an LED streetlight recycling initiative that replaced 14,293 streetlamps and achieving 100% recycling with no landfill requirements. It also provided social value benefits, helping to rehabilitate pre-release prisoners by giving them new skills, confidence and improved self-esteem.
All winners will be announced on Thursday 9th July, at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.
