Reconomy is delighted to have been named ‘Growing Business of the Year – Large (£60m+)’ at the recent high profile Growing Business Awards ceremony in London.
The Growing Business Awards are the most credible and highly valued recognition for businesses demonstrating exceptional growth. Now entering their 23rd year they celebrate the strength, vision and resilience of UK businesses across a range of sectors.
At the heart of Reconomy’s success was our commitment to transforming the UK waste, recycling and resource management sector through the implementation of innovative digital technology, as well as a strategy that has seen the development of global environmental compliance and supply chain propositions – offering clients a full circular economy solution. This has underpinned a growth in forecasted total group pro-forma revenue to £800m in 2021 and enabled the effective and efficient integration of 11 businesses acquired in the last three years.
Judges recognised that Reconomy’s entrepreneurial drive has led the UK waste and recycling sector on a journey of digital transformation. The 1,500-plus waste-management firms (mainly local SMEs) that we subcontract work to now also have access to these digital channels and processes, helping them become more efficient and better set to realise growth of their own.
