Reconomy shortlisted in two categories at the UK Green Business Awards
Reconomy, the international circular economy specialist, has been shortlisted in two categories at the 2026 UK Green Business Awards.
These awards highlight some of the UK’s most exciting and innovative companies that are striving to build an economy that is sustainable, healthier and more prosperous for all.
The Leader of the Year category recognises inspiring CEOs or senior executives who have driven the development and adoption of more sustainable business models and cutting-edge environmental initiatives that help accelerate the development of the UK’s green economy. The Company of the Year category recognises businesses that have embodied the values and advanced the cause of the green economy and the net zero transition.
Reconomy’s Leader of the Year entry highlighted how Chief Executive, Guy Wakeley, is at the forefront of accelerating the UK’s shift towards a greener economy by helping businesses adopt circular business models that reduce environmental impacts and contribute to a more sustainable, waste-free world. The entry also outlined how Guy has led Reconomy’s evolution from a business focused primarily on waste management into one delivering world-class, data-driven solutions that give businesses visibility over how circular their operations truly are.
The Company of the Year entry detailed specific green projects and innovations underway at Reconomy to help businesses embrace circularity. These include developing proprietary capabilities to help global brands navigate complex environmental regulations.
