Reconomy joins leading alliance to accelerate textile recycling in Europe
A new step in supporting textile brands with EPR compliance and circularity solutions through industry collaboration.
ReDress, the dedicated Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO) for textiles operated by RLG within Reconomy, has joined ReHubs, a leading European alliance working to accelerate the transition to a circular textile economy.
ReHubs brings together more than 30 organisations from across the textile value chain, including collectors, sorters, recyclers, brands, PROs, and policy experts. Through collaborative projects the alliance promotes investment, innovation, and coordinated action to scale textile-to-textile recycling across Europe.
As Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) legislation for textiles expands across Europe, textile brands are facing growing pressure to manage the end-of-life impact of their products. ReDress supports brands in meeting these evolving obligations through practical compliance support and access to circularity solutions across collection, sorting, reuse, and recycling.
Today, less than 1% of discarded textiles are recycled into new products, highlighting the urgent need for stronger infrastructure, greater collaboration, and scalable circular systems across the industry.
Through ReHubs, ReDress will work alongside stakeholders across the textile value chain to share knowledge, strengthen recycling and reuse networks, and support the development of more effective circular solutions for textiles.
Joining the alliance also expands access to ReDress’s growing network of textile sorting and recycling partners, helping brands move beyond compliance and towards more measurable circular outcomes.
ReDress is operated by RLG, one of the environmental compliance businesses within Reconomy.
