Reconomy’s Chief Information Officer recognised as one of the UK’s top 100 CIOs

Reconomy, the leading international circular economy specialist, is pleased to announce that Jody Fullman, Chief Information Officer, has been recognised as one of the UK’s top 100 Chief Information Officers (CIOs) in the prestigious CIO 100 UK Awards 2026.

These awards celebrate the most innovative and impactful technology leaders across the UK who are driving meaningful business outcomes through digital leadership, strategic vision and technology innovation. CIO 100 recognises leaders who deliver significant transformation, shape organisational direction, contribute to board-level decisions and deliver major technology change programmes.

Since 2019, Reconomy has been on a rapid growth trajectory, acquiring five to six businesses a year. This expansion brought together businesses with different systems and data models, creating a layer of operational complexity. Jody devised a technology strategy and led a team that turned this complexity into a competitive advantage, transforming the Group’s internal foundations, integrating major acquisitions, consolidating fragmented systems and developing products that support entry into new international markets.

Jody and his team have delivered a number of major transformation programmes, including transitioning more than 15 acquired recycling businesses onto a single operating model; migrating over 4,000 colleagues onto one global Microsoft tenant; commercialising Reconomy’s Deposit Return System capability across multiple markets; delivering numerous platform modernisation and consolidation programmes; and creating and scaling RecoTek, Reconomy’s internal delivery engine and technology scaling centre.

Another important driver of Reconomy’s rapid growth has been its investment in advanced data analytics, helping customers meet complex environmental regulations through credible, auditable data. As the Executive Team sponsor of DataStream, Jody led the development of Reconomy’s unified data platform, which consolidates customer, regulatory, transactional and material flow data into a single auditable environment. This platform has materially strengthened customer outcomes.

This accolade builds on a track record of industry recognition, with Jody having being recognised among the world’s top 100 CIOs in the Global CIO 100 Awards 2025, as well as being named in the US CIO 100 Awards 2022 and receiving the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Innovation in 2021.
