Reconomy, the UK’s leading provider of outsourced waste management and recycling services, has been named as a finalist at the 2018 MRW National Recycling Awards.
Each year, the National Recycling Awards bring together hundreds of waste management professionals to recognise and celebrate best practice and innovation from across the recycling and waste management sectors.
Having been named ‘Resource Management Business of the Year’ at the 2016 National Recycling Awards, this year Reconomy has been shortlisted alongside 11 other finalists in the category of Independent Operator of the Year. This latest announcement comes only 3 weeks after Reconomy was shortlisted for another leading industry award at the 2018 Construction News Awards.
Since 2012 Reconomy has recorded unprecedented levels of growth, boasting a five-year Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 21% based on revenue, and an impressive 33% CAGR based on EBITDA. Despite tough economic times, the company is continuing to set itself aggressive sales targets, with its next milestone being to reach £200m turnover by 2020.
Reconomy’s Chief Executive, Paul Cox, said: “We are delighted to be a part of this year’s National Recycling Awards. Our goal is to be a pioneer of the waste industry and bring about changes that will benefit the entire sector. Being shortlisted for this award is a wonderful acknowledgement of this as well as our many other recent achievements.”
Robin Latchem, Editor of MRW Magazine, said: “Our awards are often the first to highlight innovation and best practice in recycling and waste management and it’s exciting to see previous winners establishing themselves as exemplars of resource efficiency. To celebrate and share in victory on the night is the icing on the cake.”
The 2018 National Recycling Awards will take place on Thursday 28th June at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
