Why choose a 20 yard RoRo skip?

A great alternative for any projects or operations that produce a lot of waste, commonly used across construction and other commercial sectors for major refurbishments. The Roll-on Roll-off (RoRo) skip is large and convenient for most professional uses.

Our range 20 yard skips are the perfect choice to dispose of light bulky wastes such as cardboard, wood, furniture, plastic, and metal. They can hold up to and, around 300 bin bags of waste. Other skip hire sizes are available.

You must use private land to place your skips. Otherwise, you will require a skip hire permit to place your skip on the public highway, should private land not be available. This may incur additional charges from the relevant local authority, as well as the cost of hire. The charges for skip hire permits and their enforcement vary regionally.

The customer is charged for all permits. The charge is non-refundable in the event the permit is declined by the local authority.

Contact us to check eligibility on any skip hire permit.

Skips are delivered in the day of hire between 7am and 5.30pm. Specific time periods are available on request at the time of booking.

The location of the skip must be in an accessible location for a skip lorry and must be clear from obstruction for both the delivery and the collection.

The price of one of our 20 yard RoRo skips will depend on the length of hire and your location. Reconomy can deliver a 20 yard skip to just about everywhere in the UK, so please get in touch for an instant quote.

The delivery location must be considered whenever you hire a 20-yard skip. Private land can be used for any skip hire, but we understand that space is often limiting.

If your 20-yard skip cannot be placed on private land, a skip hire permit will need to be obtained. This allows you to place the skip on a public road, should the local authority approve your permit.

Speak to one of our friendly customer service team members today for help obtaining a permit. Additional charges may apply, but Reconomy will ensure that you get all the help you need.

This can vary depending on supply partners in your area, but the standard size for a typical 20-yard skip typically measures approximately 6 feet high, 8 feet wide, and 20 feet long. If you need more information on this, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

A 20-yard skip will typically hold approximately 180 to 220 standard black bin bags worth of waste, depending on the type of waste and how it is loaded. We usually find our Construction and Housebuilding customers require these sized skips due to the bulky waste being generated on sites.

20-yard skips are commonly used for medium-large sized projects and we find are more common amongst our construction, housebuilding and infrastructure customers.

Again, depending on the supply partner being used in your area, but typically we will offer flexible hire periods, ranging from a few days to several weeks.

If you have specific requirements you’d like to discuss, please get in touch and one of our amazing team can help you.

Prohibited items may include hazardous waste such as asbestos, batteries, chemicals, WEEE waste, tyres, and certain types of construction materials. Please check with us before hiring to confirm if your waste streams can or cannot be placed in one of our 20 yard skips.

You can arrange for the collection of your 20-yard skip by contacting Reconomy and scheduling a collection date.
