Our primary focus throughout the COVID-19 crisis has been safeguarding our employees, all of whom are working remotely. We continue to communicate regularly to keep them informed, support their wellbeing and ensure they have what they need to work effectively and safely.
We’ve also maintained service continuity for all our customers – many of whom are working in ‘key sectors’ at the front line of the crisis. Our ability to sustain 100% supply is a credit to all our employees and supply chain partners. We’re extremely proud of everyone involved and Reconomy is strongly positioned to help re-energise waste and resource management plans across the industry sectors we serve as business activity increases.
Our customer remobilisation plans are underpinned by close communication with our supply chain so we can all come out of this strongly together. Reconomy are ‘COVID-19 Secure’, after publishing a new Code of Conduct with procedures for delivering services safely. Driven by the needs of our customers, we’ve also launched a range of new products and services to help prepare safe working and fight the threat of COVID-19.
Supporting our local communities has been even more important at this time, and our employees have raised funds for the NHS, local front-line charities and also donated 250 Easter Eggs to local families near our head office in Telford. Our Reconomy Social Value Programme (RSVP) continues, with progress on our initiative with The National House Project and Wolverhampton City Council to support young people leaving care.
Our customer service teams have been available via normal routes, but we also set up a dedicated comms channel through firstname.lastname@example.org and are communicating regularly through our social media channels to inform everyone of the latest developments.
