Ready for reopening: March 2021 COVID-19 update

I hope that you are all well and continuing to find your way through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. As we start to look forward through the Government’s roadmap for reopening and put the Winter behind us, hopefully there is cause for some more optimism.

Clearly, reopening comes with its own challenges for many businesses in affected sectors and with undoubtedly lots to think about we want to reassure you that Reconomy remain ready to take the pain out of your waste and resource management processes. Here is an update on the key elements of our COVID-19 response:

COVID secure working environment
Throughout the pandemic, our number one focus has been safeguarding our employees, all of whom continue to work from home at this time. Our service teams are available to you using the regular contact channels.

We have issued all employees with the appropriate PPE and have clear processes in place for external site visits where they are required, although in many cases we are offering support instead via virtual meetings and are happy to do this for any of our customers. Our group offices currently remain closed, but we have established detailed protocols to allow us to reopen them on a phased basis in the coming months. Until that time, we are communicating constantly with our colleagues and keeping up daily team interaction.

Robust controls to ensure service continuity
Our robust COVID-19 continuity approach includes clear policies for our employees on what to do in all scenarios following the latest Government guidance – and we use the considerable breadth of skills and capability across the Reconomy group to cover any related absences.

Reconomy has maintained 100% service provision throughout the pandemic by leveraging our geographically diverse supply chain and following robust processes and controls. We’ll continue to work closely with our suppliers to make sure that all necessary contingency plans and actions are in place to avoid any disruption for our customers.

Industry leading end-to-end digital services
Reconomy’s continued commitment to innovation and technology-enablement has been even more important over the last 12 months. We have made considerable progress on our supply chain integrations and other key digital processes, meaning that we offer Reconomy customers a fully digital process from purchase to pay.

The provision of data is now even faster and more accurate, with several solutions appropriate to our diverse customer base for digital ordering as well. This is a great time for us all to review our processes and look for efficient ways of working, so I’d encourage you to speak to your Reconomy account team about how your business could benefit from our digital channels, whether that be our SiteBuddy and Tipping apps or the Reconomy Portal.

I’d like to thank my colleagues for their continued dedication and all of us at Reconomy would also like thank our customers, suppliers and partners for their support as we work together to deliver a successful 2021 despite the challenging circumstances.

I wish the best of health to you and those around you, and Reconomy will be here to support you with anything that you need.

Kind Regards,

Paul Cox
