Celebrations are underway after Reconomy, the UK’s leading provider of outsourced waste management services, won a prestigious award at last night’s 4th annual London Construction Awards (LCAs).
At the gala evening in Central London, Reconomy was named Supplier of the Year fending off competition from 15 other companies that operate across numerous business sectors in support of the construction industry.
Reconomy, whose head offices are in Telford, Shropshire, provides a UK-wide waste management services to thousands of clients across the construction, housebuilding, infrastructure and commercial industries. Within London, Reconomy has supported numerous high-profile London projects in recent years, including the Thames Tideway Tunnel and the redevelopment of the 2012 Olympic Stadium.
Reconomy was praised by the judges for pioneering new technologies that maximise data capture and process-automation, bringing an innovative approach to the waste industry, which has a long-established reputation for being traditionalist. Reconomy’s latest innovation, the SiteBuddy smartphone app, allows Reconomy clients to reorder, exchange or off-hire a skip from any construction site across the UK in under 60-seconds.
Attended by over 500 construction professionals, the LCAs recognise achievements, developments and innovation within London’s booming construction industry and feature a wide range of categorise for solution providers, contractors, architects, developers and local authorities.
