Reconomy Named as National Recycling Awards Finalist

Reconomy, the UK’s leading provider of outsourced waste management services, has been named as a finalist in the 2016 MRW National Recycling Awards.
The company is one of only four businesses to have been shortlisted in the highly contested category of Resource Management Business of the Year. Full details of all those shortlisted can be found here.
In 2015 Reconomy recorded unprecedented levels of growth, with turnover increasing sharply from £65m to £105m, thanks to a combination of organic sales growth, the retention and development of key client accounts and the acquisition of two highly successful waste management companies. The company also coordinated the movement of over 3million tonnes of waste, successfully diverting 93% of this away from landfill.
The National Recycling Awards recognise excellence and innovation across the entire recycling and resource management sector, with hundreds of companies submitting entries every year. The Resource Management Business of the Year must be able to demonstrate exceptional customer service, market innovation, growth and high performance.
Commenting on the news, Reconomy Managing Director, Paul Cox, said: “It is always fantastic news when the outstanding work of the entire Reconomy team is highlighted in this way. It is a great achievement to have been shortlisted and we look forward to the winners being announced.”
The National Recycling Awards will take place on Wednesday 6th July 2016.
