Site Waste Management Plans Regulations 2008

The Site Waste Management Plans Regulations 2008 were laid before Parliament on 15th February 2008, and will come into force on 6th April 2008. The regulations will not apply to any project that is planned before 6th April, if construction work commences before 1st July 2008.

Duty of Care

"The Duty of Care is a law which says that you must take all reasonable steps to keep waste safe. If you give waste to someone else, you must be sure they are authorised to take it and can transport, recycle or dispose of it safely. If you break this law, you can be fined an unlimited amount."
