Reconomy Solutions, then called Wastefile UK were contacted by Tolent Construction to supply 6K quarried aggregates, similar to 10-20mm pipe bedding, for their project at Tinsley Viaduct, Catcliffe. The reason for this product specification was that it offers excellent permeability and high drainage scope, ideal for the application required.
Product Specification a MUST:
Acting as bedding, it was essential that the supplied aggregates meet the required specification, avoiding any potential for damage incurred through the use of sharp edged stones under high pressure. In addition, should the aggregate supplied not be of suitable specification, there would be a need for removal and result in delaying the project and incurring substantial costs.
Besides meeting the specification, Tolent Construction required that a specific quantity of 300 tonnes were to be delivered to site daily, without exception, throughout the duration of this requirement.
Our expertise was invaluable to Tolent Construction in identifying and delivering the exact specification of quarried aggregates that was required. The site classification sheet was utilised to propose the most appropriate grading of aggregate in meeting the specification.
