SiteBuddy surpasses expectation

SiteBuddy, the innovative smartphone app developed by outsourced waste management and recycling specialists, Reconomy, has hit a major milestone.Since the app was first launched to Reconomy’s customers in July 2018, over 1,000 waste movements have been processed through it. This milestone has been reached ahead of schedule, surpassing all expectations.Typically taking less than 60-seconds to process a skip order,

SiteBuddy is estimated to have so far collectively saved Reconomy customers more than 30 hours of administration time by removing the need to place orders over the phone. SiteBuddy is the waste-industry’s first smartphone app aimed at skip hire waste management, enabling Reconomy’s customers to exchange, off-hire or reorder skips or waste containers at the touch of a button. The app has been specifically designed for use by site personnel and procurement teams, allowing them to react immediately to any on-site issues regarding their waste, as and when they arise. The app works in parallel with Reconomy’s online portal, which collates each customer’s waste data, ensuring a complete audit trail.

Jamie Roberts, Reconomy’s Director of Managed Accounts, said: “The feedback from customers using the app has been overwhelming positive, with many commenting on how easy SiteBuddy is to use and how much of a timesaver it is”.

Paul Cox, Reconomy’s Chief Executive, added: “We’re delighted with the success of SiteBuddy which is attracting more of our customers every day. We will continue to champion tech-enablement and pioneer new ways of working to improve our internal processes and benefit the experience of our customers.”
